Who am I?

Tami wollensak.

Tami Wollensak is a Divorce Mortgage Specialist and the founder of Empowered Uncoupling. With more than 30 years of experience in mortgage and finance, she has guided countless individuals through one of the most important financial decisions of their lives—homeownership. But it was her own divorce in 2015 that shifted her career from simply closing loans to helping people navigate life transitions with compassion, clarity, and strategy.

As a Certified Divorce Lending Professional (CDLP®), Tami specializes in bridging the gap between divorce proceedings and mortgage planning. She works side by side with attorneys, mediators, and financial advisors to ensure her clients not only qualify for, but also obtain, the right mortgage solution for their future. Whether it’s understanding equity buyouts, mortgage assumptions, or the emotional weight of keeping or selling the family home, Tami’s expertise helps her clients avoid costly mistakes and move forward with confidence.

Through Empowered Uncoupling, she combines her deep financial knowledge with her passion for empowering women to reset, rebuild, and rise. Tami provides consults, educational resources, and even empowerment products designed to remind her clients that divorce isn’t the end of their story—it’s the start of a new one.

Why I Founded empowered Uncoupling.

I founded Empowered Uncoupling because I know firsthand how overwhelming divorce can feel. When I went through my own, I realized how many financial pitfalls and emotional roadblocks exist—especially around the marital home. With over 30 years in mortgage and finance, I wanted to create a safe space that blends clarity, compassion, and strategy. Empowered Uncoupling was born to help others avoid the mistakes I made, protect their financial future, and embrace the possibility of a new beginning with confidence and hope.
